‘taste south! I’ is a unique piece. In a multi-layered, labour-intensive process, the work unfolds depth and vitality. Warm ochre develops from green undertones – like light falling through leaves, like quinces ripening velvety in the late summer heat. The surface is reminiscent of the plaster of old walls that carry stories – rough yet permeated by a gentle brightness.
The canvas is made of 100% cotton and stretched on an FSC-certified pine wood stretcher frame. With its 70 × 100 cm format, the work makes a powerful statement while remaining harmonious and balanced.
